Wheels, Inc. Earns Second Place in 2003 HR Service

DES PLAINES, Ill., Feb. 17 -- Wheels, Inc., a leader in the multi-billion-dollar fleet-leasing industry, today announced that it has earned second place in the 2003 HR Service Excellence Awards Program for organizations with 501 to 2,500 employees. Sponsored by HR Solutions, Inc., a Chicago-based consultancy, and Human Resource Executive magazine, the annual awards program recognizes the best human resource departments in America for the service they provide their employees.

Winners were determined based on the overall results of an internal customer-service survey conducted by 812 companies and organizations. Survey respondents were asked to rate their organizations' human resources departments on 40 separate items relating to employee relations, service orientation, communications, professional knowledge and overall performance. Wheels scored an overall 87 percent rating -- just 1 percent below the first- place winner. The privately held fleet-management company consistently earned ratings in individual categories of more than 85 percent, and most were in the 90 percentile range.
