CHARLOTTE, N.C. - February 12, 2004 - Kasey Kahne, NASCAR Nextel Cup
Series rookie, is the newest member of the Mountain Dew team. Kahne
joins his Evernham Motorsports teammate, Jeremy Mayfield, who has been
sponsored by Mountain Dew since the 2002 season.

Pepsi-Cola North America, makers of Mountain Dew, today announced an
agreement with Evernham Motorsports to extend their sponsorship to
include rookie driver Kasey Kahne and the over-the-wall crew of Kahne's
No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge who compete in the Nextel Cup Series. The
Evernham Motorsports pit crews for Kahne and Jeremy Mayfield will be
known as the "Dew Crews." Kahne's Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge will race in
a special Mountain Dew color scheme for one race in 2004. In addition,
Kahne and Mayfield will appear on in-store display materials and make
appearances during the season for Mountain Dew.

"Kasey Kahne and Jeremy Mayfield are exciting drivers on the racing
scene," said John Galloway, director of sports marketing for Pepsi-Cola
Company. "Their high energy and high intensity match the Mountain Dew
brand philosophy and we look forward to another great season with
Evernham Motorsports."

"Pepsi-Cola has been an important partner to Evernham Motorsports," Ray
Evernham, owner, Evernham Motorsports. "They have helped build our
organization from the beginning and have provided incredible support for
our drivers, teams and to NASCAR."

"As a rookie on the Nextel Cup series, it's great to have the support of
a big brand like Mountain Dew and a company with the incredible history
and success of Evernham Motorsports behind me," said Kahne, driver of
the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge.

"It's been awesome to be a part of the Mountain Dew team,"
said Jeremy Mayfield, driver of the No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge. "I
know that Evernham Motorsports and Mountain Dew will help us get to
victory lane."

This marks the fourth straight year that Mountain Dew has sponsored
Evernham Motorsports drivers and teams. Pepsi's involvement with NASCAR
