ARCA RE/MAX Record Daytona PEE DTV Ratings
TOLEDO OH (2-11-04) With continued anticipation of future success, the relationship between SPEED Channel and the ARCA RE/MAX Series continues to flourish at an impressive and noteworthy pace.
This year's Advance Discount Auto Parts 200 from Daytona Int'l Speedway registered record ratings for an ARCA RE/MAX Series event on SPEED.
The live, two-hour, Saturday afternoon telecast averaged a 1.36 Nielsen Rating which equated to more than 800,000 households overall. In addition, the show earned a 1.71 Peak Rating, representing over a million households in the initial broadcast.
"With SPEED Channel doing more than 70 hours of programming from Daytona, the early ratings have been impressive, and the ARCA RE/MAX Series race stands at the top of the heap after week one," said SPEED Channel President Jim Liberatore. "As the relationship between SPEED and ARCA continues to evolve, we both will look for ways to maintain and eventually grow these numbers throughout the race season."
"We're certainly proud of this news," said ARCA President Ron Drager. "It's extremely gratifying to see, in black and white, significant progress in terms of ratings. We worked hard to get here, and I think it's finally paying off."
