Cypress to Speak on ''Trends and Demand in Automotive Electronics''; Panel at Globalpress Electronics Summit 2004, Wednesday, February 11, 2004

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Feb. 1, 20040, 2004--Cypress Semiconductor Corp. today announced that David Zimpfer, director of its Automotive Business Unit, will speak on "Trends and Demand in Automotive Electronics" at the Globalpress Electronics Summit 2004, at the Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey, CA on Wednesday, February 11, 2004. Zimpfer will address such topics as tire pressure monitoring; telematics and entertainment; drive-by-wire; 42V electronics systems; and power train electronics.

David Zimpfer was appointed director of the Automotive Business Unit at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation in January 2002. Mr. Zimpfer manages a team of product engineers, marketing, and sales professionals that are dedicated to developing products and services for the automotive market. Mr. Zimpfer holds two degrees, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master's (M.P.H.) degree, from the University of California, Berkeley.
