FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MOTOROCK TRANS-AM TOUR TO KICK OFF 2004 AT LONG BEACH;
WILL CELEBRATE EVENTıS 30TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND

LANSING, Mich. (Feb. 10, 2004) ‹ The Motorock Trans-Am Tour will begin its
2004 season April 16-18, during the 30th Anniversary Toyota Grand Prix of
Long Beach. The event will mark the 13th visit by the Trans-Am Tour to the
temporary 1.968-mile Southern California street circuit since 1987. The
Trans-Am race will run in its traditional slot, following the Champ Car
World Series event.

The 2004 event returns following two of the most competitive Trans-Am races
in Long Beach history. 2002 showcased a three-car battle on the last lap
that saw all three contenders lead, and Paul Gentilozzi in the winnerıs
circle. Last year, Boris Said came out atop a race-long battle with eventual
2003 Driversı Champion Scott Pruett to claim the top prize.

³We have a long tradition of great racing at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long
Beach,² said Motorock Trans-Am Tour Executive Director John Clagett. ³If the
finishes of the last two races at Long Beach are any indication, with
late-race passes and door-to-door dog fights, this yearıs event is certain
to be exhilarating.²

³We are absolutely delighted to welcome the Motorock Trans-Am Tour back to
the streets of Long Beach this April,² said Jim Michaelian, president and
CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. ³That race always provides
some of the most exciting side-by-side action and is the perfect way to
conclude our 30th anniversary weekend.²

The Motorock Trans-Am Tour features closed-fendered, production-based,
V-8-powered sports cars, competing on permanent road courses, and temporary
street and airport circuits throughout North America. The Trans-Am Tour is
Americaıs oldest continuously running road racing series and celebrates its
39th anniversary in 2004.
