GM Daewoo Auto&Technology Selects UGS PLM Solutions as New Corporate Standard Throughout Daewoo and Its Supply Chain

GM Daewoo orders 650 seats of UGS PLM Solutions' software to meet expansive requirements of new Advanced Automotive Initiatives

PLANO, Texas and SEOUL, Korea, Feb. 10 -- UGS PLM Solutions, the product lifecycle management (PLM) subsidiary of EDS , today announced GM Daewoo Auto&Technology (GM Daewoo) has selected UGS PLM Solutions' software and services as its corporate standard for global product development throughout GM Daewoo and its entire supply chain.

The agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, calls for the acquisition of 650 seats of UGS PLM Solutions' products including Teamcenter as the collaborative foundation for the global GM Daewoo digital product development environment and NX as the product design software to capture and reuse knowledge, and drive new product innovation. These solutions are designed to hasten new automotive products to market while fulfilling GM Daewoo's goal of continual quality improvement at reduced costs.
