AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 9, 2004 -- The bright, open atmosphere that greets visitors of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Mich. now welcomes virtual visitors through the Museum's newly redesigned web site at www.chryslerheritage.com .

The site greets visitors with continuously revolving panoramic views of the Museum's first and second levels highlighting concept and production vehicles from the 1900s - 1990s. The home page also features graphic links to the Museum's special exhibits and events, current and past issues of its award-winning four-color Forward magazine and its popular gift shop, brimming with exclusive and hard-to-find collectibles and souvenirs.

A click of a button and the Walter P. Chrysler Museum's easy-to-navigate web site directs visitors to:

* an overview of the Museum's three levels, including highlights of 70 vehicles on permanent and rotating display. The collection features vintage, classic, muscle and concept vehicles from a 1902 Rambler Model C Runabout to a 1996 Dodge Stratus Super Touring Series Race Car JAT C002.

* history, including comprehensive background about DaimlerChrysler's brand and corporate chronology, significant people in the company's evolution and Chrysler's corporate history, as well as a minivan interactive timeline and a DaimlerChrysler classic link to Mercedes-Benz heritage.

* enthusiast information, including links to more than 40 clubs and organizations dedicated to vehicles produced by DaimlerChrysler and its predecessor companies. The site features DaimlerChrysler archives, where visitors can request owner and service manuals, photographs, production numbers and build records.

* scheduling adult and student group tours, scheduling corporate meetings or events, joining the Friends of Chrysler Heritage, donating a vehicle to the Museum and becoming a Museum volunteer. The site also offers Museum background, location, hours and admission and parking and accessibility, as well as other automotive attractions in the area.

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is located at the corner of Featherstone and Squirrel Roads on DaimlerChrysler's Auburn Hills, Mich. complex, accessible from exit 78 (Chrysler Dr.) off I-75.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday and noon - 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for seniors (62 and older) and children (6 - 12).
