Car buyers subscribing to XM service on new vehicles purchased at Acura, Audi, Honda, Lexus, Scion or Toyota dealerships nationwide from March 1, 2004 to May 31, 2004, automatically are entered in a sweepstakes to win a private concert at the state-of-the-art XM Live Performance Theater at its broadcast headquarters in Washington, DC. Winners can choose for themselves and three friends to attend a performance by legendary bluesman B.B. King, country siren LeAnn Rimes, alt-rockers Everclear or singer/songwriter Michelle Branch. The Dashboard Concert Series was announced at an XM sponsored performance by Cyndi Lauper at the Chicago Auto Show.
