R. Todd Wilson Named NASCAR Chief Financial Officer
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--Feb. 3, 2004--In a move to enhance NASCAR's business leadership within the motorsports industry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Brian France announced today the appointment of R. Todd Wilson as Chief Financial Officer.Wilson, who will report directly to France, will serve as NASCAR's highest ranking financial officer. He will oversee all financial issues affecting the sanctioning body and continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer of NASCAR Broadcasting and NASCAR Digital Entertainment.
Wilson's most recent responsibilities include serving as the Assistant Treasurer of NASCAR and Chief Financial Officer of NASCAR Broadcasting, NASCAR Digital Entertainment, and NASCAR Images.
The 41-year-old Wilson holds both a bachelor's degree of science and a master's degree in accounting from the University of Florida. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
A NASCAR employee since 1999, Wilson has held several key positions in the company. Business planning, budgeting process and all tax issues have been among his responsibilities. Prior to joining NASCAR, Wilson's 14-year career in public accounting included an extensive working background in many industries.
Wilson will continue to be based at NASCAR headquarters in Daytona Beach, Fla. He and wife Sharon have one son, Brad.
