Delphi Announces Personnel Appointments For Delphi Integrated Service Solutions
TROY, Mich., Feb. 3, 2004 -- Delphi Corp. announced today the appointment of three new directors in sales and marketing, operations and engineering for Delphi Integrated Service Solutions, part of Delphi Product & Service Solutions.

Doug Parnell is appointed director of sales and marketing. Parnell, who joins Delphi after serving as vice president of sales for RBX Industries, Inc., replaces William Wrubel, who is being named director of operations and dealership sales. Earl Diem is appointed director of engineering. Diem has been serving as product engineering manager for the past two years.
With these appointments, effective immediately, Parnell, Wrubel and Diem will all report to Russell Bailey, managing director, Delphi Integrated Service Solutions.
Parnell has a diverse and progressive background in executive sales and marketing in various automotive OEM and aftermarket manufacturing and distribution environments. Parnell joined Delphi after spending more than 20 years in sales and marketing, most recently as vice president and general manager of the aftermarket division for SPX Filtran and previously as vice president of sales and marketing. Parnell served on the Board of Directors for IBS Filtran, a joint venture company between SPX and IBS Brocke in Germany, and the Filter Manufacturers Council under the auspices of Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association. He taught courses in sales and marketing management at Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago and has co- authored articles in the Society of Automotive Engineers Journal and other publications. Parnell received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and earned his MBA from the State University of New York-Binghamton.
William Wrubel had been serving as director of sales and marketing for the past year. Wrubel was president of ATRI prior to its acquisition by Delphi in 2001. Wrubel is a 30-year automotive industry expert with extensive experience in automotive management and management training. Wrubel developed and implemented numerous training programs at the end user level, such as technician development programs and apprenticeship development programs (Collision Repair Industry development programs).
Wrubel is the past president of the Cadillac National Service Managers Council (1997 - 98), served from 1986 - 98 as the co-chairman on the ASEP Advisory Committee for Glendale Community College, and is the 1994 - 98 past president of the Arizona Service Managers Council. Wrubel earned a degree from the General Motors University (GMU) of Dealership Management and the GMU Customer Service School.
In his new assignment, Diem will be responsible for the design and deployment of the DS800 Automotive Diagnostic solution, which is an 802.11x enabled computer information system. Diem is a 25-year automotive industry veteran, Automotive Service Excellence master certified automotive technician, including L1 & L2 advanced certifications and 10 years of OE dealership service experience. Diem has extensive experience in automotive diagnostic technology development and training program development. He has supervised and participated in the development of OE computer based testing equipment including GM/CAMS, T-20 and T-60 GM Techline terminals and Tech 1 Scan Tool development and validation. Diem has also received 3 patents in computer- aided automotive diagnostics and data acquisition. Diem received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Baker College.
