NOTES OF INTEREST: With approximately 60 teams entered for the 41st running of the Daytona ARCA 200 recognized this year as the Advance Discount Auto Parts 200, this year's Daytona ARCA classic, with a 4 pm Saturday start-time, will serve as a preamble for Saturday night's Nextel Cup Bud Shootout. Currently, drivers representing 20 states are entered. Of the drivers entered, only Andy Hillenburg and Bobby Gerhart are former Daytona ARCA 200 winners although Greg Sacks, entered in a Bobby Jones Racing Dodge, won a 400-mile race at Daytona in the Nextel Cup Series in 1985. Both Hillenburg and Gerhart are 2-time Daytona ARCA 200 winners (Hillenburg in '95 & '97/Gerhart in '99 & '02). Iggy Katona is the only 3-time Daytona ARCA winner. Frank Kimmel and Hillenburg are the only former series champions entered. Kimmel, 3rd on the all-time win-list with 50 career series victories, has never won at Daytona. Kimmel's career-best finishes at Daytona are 3rd in '01 & '02. Only 6 drivers have won from the pole in the Daytona ARCA 200: Benny Parsons '69, Andy Hampton '72, Iggy Katona '74, Woody Fisher '77, Jeff Purvis '93 and Hillenburg '97. No driver has repeat wins in consecutive years.
