SK HAND TOOL EXPANDS ASA PROGRAM FOR 2004
PENDLETON, Ind. (January 29, 2004) - S K Hand Tool Corporation has reached an
agreement to continue as the "Official Hand Tool" of the ASA National Tour for 2004. In
addition, the McCook, Ill., based company will sponsor the ASA National Tour season
opening event at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Fla., on Saturday, March 27.
The S K Hand Tool 200 will mark the start of the 37th season of stock car racing for the
American Speed Association and will be televised live on Speed Channel.
"ASA is proud to have S K Hand Tool as a partner and I'm thrilled for our competitors
with the very tangible awards posted for each event," said Mark Gundrum, ASA
executive vice president of sales/marketing. "I believe that last year both sides
overproduced with regards to support and exposure. Our staff genuinely looks forward
to working with S K Hand Tool once again this season."
The series sponsorship program includes a newly added special award for the Crew
Chief of the Race and Crew Chief of the Year. The single event winner will receive a
$500 S K Hand Tool certificate, while the season-long designee will be awarded a tool
box and set valued at $6,500.
"We are pleased with our association from last year with ASA as the awareness
generated through the program has been notable," said Michele Moulin, president/CEO
of S K Hand Tool. "Motorsports is an ideal platform to expose S K Hand Tool. Bringing
our name to the important Florida markets should further these efforts."
