THQ, Title Sponsor of the THQ World Supercross GP/AMA Supercross Series, Unveils MX Unleashed Video Game

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--Jan. 2, 20049, 2004--THQ Inc. and Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division today announced that supercross series' title sponsor THQ unveiled MX Unleashed as the official video game of the 2004 THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series. The game is available for demonstration at several of the series events that began with the inaugural race earlier this year and includes this weekend at Edison International Field in Anaheim, California. Currently at development in critically acclaimed Rainbow Studios, MX Unleashed will be available for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft in February 2004.

"THQ and Rainbow are thrilled that MX Unleashed is the official game of the 2004 THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series," said Peter Dille, senior vice president of worldwide marketing. "With the Freeworld areas featuring incredible off-road elements and vehicles, both core gamers and motocross fans alike will appreciate the wide-ranging gameplay in MX Unleashed."

MX Unleashed not only features a robust racing mode that motocross fans have come to expect, but also an expansive Freeworld mode that allows gamers to explore vast environments where they can race against and ultimately drive machines including a helicopter, monster truck, dune buggy, bi-plane, and trophy truck. Freeworld mode also lets players explore hits, jumps and runs in a variety of mini-games, and perform stunts like jumping off moving trucks or through hot air balloons, and catching big air off of the treacherous terrain. The game features realistic physics, including a clutch system and independent rider and bike animations, making it the most realistic interactive motocross racing experience to date. The game also features hot music tracks from a library of licensed music performed by some of the music industry's hottest artists.
