Sneak Preview of 42nd Annual Carquest World of Wheels

 Chicago-Area Owners Load in Millions of Dollars of Cherried-Up Hot Rods,
                             Trucks and Bikes

  WHO:      Hundreds of Chicago-area owners unload and set up millions of
            dollars worth of one-of-a-kind custom street rods, imports, race
            cars, antiques, trucks, motorcycles, and other souped-up
            machines at the annual custom car show.  Presenters include:

              -- Couples who race together, stay together: husband and wife
                 racers from south burbs

              -- The Dodge Viper that raced an airplane last year and WON!

              -- The eBay Mustang designed and built by a Manteno man

              -- The Get Real Hummer of Gurnee which features tank wheels
                 and is street legal

  WHAT:     The 42nd Annual CARQUEST World of Wheels, a 3-day automotive
            extravaganza where car enthusiasts compete for part of a total
            series purse of $85,000, begins load-in at McCormick Place
            today.  In addition to local presenters' cars, there will be
            nationally touring stand-outs and cars seen in hit movies and on
            television.

  WHERE:    McCormick Place -- North Building (West of Lake Shore Drive)
            2301 S. Lake Shore Drive
            Easy media access/parking: Exit southbound Lake Shore Drive at
            31st Street and turn right immediately onto Moe Drive.  Follow
            Moe Drive up the ramp to the North building's loading dock.

  WHEN:     2:00 p.m. -- 3:00 p.m.    Thursday, January 29

  NOTE:     The 42nd Annual CARQUEST World of Wheels opens Friday and runs
            through Sunday, February 1st.  Show hours are Friday from 3 --
            10:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 -- 11 p.m. and Sunday from 10 -- 7
            p.m.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 --
            12.
