Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Renews Relationship With EDS
EDS to Continue Supporting Business Critical Systems With Newly Extended Relationship
PLANO, Texas, Jan. 28 -- Extending its global transportation industry leadership, EDS has been awarded a seven- year contract renewal to maintain and manage various business critical, consumer-facing and internal systems for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group continuing the company's relationship with EDS through 2010. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
A recognized leader in the value segment of the car rental industry, Tulsa, Okla.-based Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. is the parent company of Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, with more than 800 locations in the United States and Canada and worldwide operations in approximately 70 countries.
Under the extended agreement, EDS will continue to provide midrange server support and hosting at its Tulsa data center for DTG's essential on-line customer reservation system, corporate financial systems, fleet management and related processes.
EDS' sustained system reliability and support helps ensure that DTG's valued customers enjoy uninterrupted access to DTG's online automobile rental systems, thereby decreasing potential lost revenues from system downtimes.
