On January 29th Charisma Floats will be rolling the award-winning City of West Covina's Rose Parade Float "The Three Tenors" down the Irwindale Dragstrip to set a track record. This will be a world-first attempt at setting a new NHRA record for floats on the 1/8 mile drag strip.
This 15,000 pound, 45 foot long, 18 foot wide, 17 foot tall float normally travels 2 to 2.5 miles an hour in the Rose Parade. The float features 3-12 foot tall canaries dressed in top hats. The float was awarded the Mayor's Trophy for most beautiful city entry in the 2003 Tournament of Roses Parade.
The float will also be on location prior to the run and afterwards for the public to see.
