SAE 2004 World Congress Press Registration

TROY, Mich., Jan. 26, 2004 -- Accredited journalists and automotive reporters are invited to register and attend the SAE 2004 World Congress and Exhibition at no charge. This event is the world's largest automotive conference and exhibition dedicated to engineering and technology. The SAE World Congress presents journalists with tremendous opportunity for researching and filing related stories. Event information is as follows:

   What: SAE 2004 World Congress
   When: March 8-11, 2004
Where: Cobo Center -- Detroit, MI USA
   Website: http://www.sae.org/congress

Media Registration and Information: http://www.sae.org/congress/about/journalist-information.htm

This year, SAE has initiated a new system for media registration and verification of media credentials. Each person must individually register for the event, even if they have attended in previous years. Conference and exhibition badges will not be issued in advance of the event; they must be picked up on-site.

Pre-registered attendees and pre-qualified media will find it significantly quicker and easier to pick up their badge by utilizing one of the on-site kiosks. All persons wishing to attend this event as media must meet SAE's requirements as specified on the event website. On-site registrants will be required to present several items for verification. For these reasons, we strongly encourage journalists to pre-register by Friday, February 13th.

The World Congress Media Center and Workroom, sponsored again this year by DENSO, will be accessible for the use and convenience of registered media only. This year, the Media Center will be located on the exhibition floor at Cobo and will be open Monday-Wednesday, March 8-10, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Thursday, March 11, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
