ZAP's Schneider Links Up with Alliance of Chief Executives
SANTA ROSA, Calif., Jan. 26, 2004 -- Steve Schneider, Chief Executive Officer for electric car company ZAP (BULLETIN BOARD: ZAPZ) , has been accepted as a charter member with The Alliance of Chief Executives, a move intended to accelerate the company's business development.
The Alliance of Chief Executives is a Northern California membership organization designed to bring business leaders together to communicate their visions and dreams to other Alliance members in order to find the support and assistance necessary to achieve their visions. Members are people who run companies of all types and sizes, from start-ups to billion dollar public companies.
"ZAP is proud to be plugged into The Alliance of Chief Executives," says Schneider. "At ZAP, we believe there is not only an opportunity to introduce electric transportation on a large scale, we believe this is our responsibility to find a way of leading the auto industry towards energy and environmental conservation. The best part is that the Alliance is full of members that share our philosophy and I have already made several useful business contacts and friends!"
Alliance groups meet monthly in half-day, confidential, working groups to discuss executive issues such as strategic alternatives, opportunities, threats, and management challenges. Members provide the perspective of an independent board of chief executives, creating an environment where CEOs can brainstorm with colleagues to help each other come away with new ideas and perspectives that will help them achieve their objectives.
