ADP Dealer Services Hits Milestone With ASP Managed Services

More Than 50,000 Users on ADP's Off-Site Solution

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Jan. 26 -- The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. today announced a milestone in its ASP Managed Services program for automobile and truck dealers: 50,000 w.e.b.Suite2000(TM) and Advanced Elite users at 1,000 dealership locations now rely on the ASP Managed Services Solution to operate and manage their information technology infrastructure at secure, off-site, state-of-the-art ADP facilities. In addition, 3200 w.e.b.Suite1000(TM) users have chosen the ASP Managed Services solution. These participating dealers now access their systems and business management information via the Internet and a sophisticated, high-speed network.

Introduced about four years ago, ADP's ASP Managed Services Solution is a proven solution that enables dealerships to outsource their day-to-day system administration responsibilities -- so they can focus on sales and service operations that directly affect business profitability.

Dealers know ADP's complete ASP offering provides critical support to their stores. "We were very interested in protecting our technology investment. With ADP's ASP Managed Services Solution we feel confident that our technology is managed by the best in the business," said Mark Brannock, general manager at Bob Mayberry Chrysler.

Backed by 30 years of auto retail industry experience, ADP offers the only comprehensive ASP managed service solution for application hosting, Internet and application access, network services, and single-provider support -- 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ADP's ASP provides a full range of hosting services for ADP applications designed specifically for the dealership environment, including ADP's full suite of Dealer Management System (DMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.

"We are excited about the continued growth and acceptance of our ASP Managed Services offering and are pleased to note that more than 1,000 new users join us each month. As the ASP industry leader, ADP will continue to invest in the latest technologies so our customers have the right tools to run their businesses now and in the future," said Bob Karp, senior vice president of e-commerce at ADP.

New ADP Center Protects Dealership Data

Through upgrading its ASP facilities and technologies, ADP allows its ASP customers to benefit from cutting-edge technology without purchasing new servers, equipment, or security. To accommodate rapid customer growth and provide superior service, a second ADP-owned and -operated data center was opened in Ann Arbor, MI in 2003. Both Ann Arbor and Elk Grove are state-of- the-art, SAS 70-certified facilities that deploy the latest automated system- backup technology to protect dealership data.

"Customers are experiencing huge benefits from ASP Managed Services. A dealer's investment risk is reduced because they no longer have to invest in new server technology every three to five years," said Dan McCray, ADP's vice president of ASP Product Marketing. "As the dealer's business and technology needs change, they don't have to worry about upgrading their server to handle new applications. And ADP's ASP eliminates a dealer's IT headaches because we manage and maintain the DMS server in ADP's data centers."
