American Suzuki Motor Corporation Relies on Hyperion Intelligence for Dealer Performance Dashboards
Dealer Performance Improves and Customer Satisfaction Increases
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 26 -- Hyperion , the global leader in Business Performance Management software today announced American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) uses a combination of Hyperion Intelligence and the SPSS ShowCase(R) Suite powered by Hyperion Essbase to deliver a full suite of dealer performance reports to decision-makers scattered across the United States.
More than three years ago, the Automotive Division began using SPSS' ShowCase Suite from Hyperion Partner SPSS to store sales and warranty claim data in multidimensional cubes. Hyperion Intelligence (formerly Brio Intelligence) was selected to complement the ShowCase Suite solution by delivering performance metric dashboards to decision-makers. In addition, Hyperion Intelligence includes the ability to present multidimensional data in easy-to-use dashboards, graphs and charts and enable remote employees to work with reports off-line.
"We're delighted with Hyperion's acquisition of Brio. We use the ShowCase Suite powered by Hyperion Essbase for multidimensional cubes and analysis and Hyperion Intelligence for easy-to-use reporting on ShowCase cubes. It's been a great match for us," said Gary Sparr, systems services manager, American Suzuki Motor Corporation. "We've been successfully using the two products together and look forward to even stronger integration with the acquisition."
The Automotive Division uses its ShowCase Suite and Hyperion Intelligence solution to analyze and report on warranty claims and dealer performance in delivering warranty work. Reports are extensively used by the national office, four regional managers, and in twenty-four district offices. Two years of data on thousands of claims are available in ShowCase Suite. Reports are presented in an easy-to-use dashboard interface allowing decision-makers to select reports and specify parameters via pull down menus. Armed with this valuable information, service managers coach dealers to improve performance and ultimately increase customer satisfaction.
"Before we had the ShowCase Suite and Hyperion Intelligence solution, we often operated on incomplete data. Now we have the ability to accurately rate dealer performance on a number of different objective criteria," said Mike Koch, national warranty manager, Automotive Division, American Suzuki Motor Corporation. "We even grant dealers warranty claim self-authorization status based on scores generated by a Hyperion Intelligence dealer performance report."
Hyperion's rationale for acquiring Brio is demonstrated by the way Suzuki uses the technology. Suzuki gets more out of its data by harnessing the combined power of both solutions," said Rich Clayton, vice president of product marketing at Hyperion. "It's rewarding to see the ShowCase solution, which is powered by Hyperion Essbase, working with Hyperion Intelligence to help meet one of Suzuki's key goals: increasing customer satisfaction."
