Fricke replace by Winkelmann as head of Fiat Germany

FRANKFURT January 25, 2004; Dow Jones reported that Fiat Automobil AG, German unit of Fiat S.p.A. , has said that its chief executive Klaus Fricke, 51, will leave the company as of Jan. 31.

Stephan Winkelmann, 39, will become the new chief executive on Feb. 1. The company also said, in a statement late Friday, that it's introducing a new organization structure, with Winkelmann taking on the role of Market General Manager.

Business Unit Country Managers responsible for brands Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Fiat Transporter as well as for After Sales business will report to the Market General Manager, it said.
