Nissan North America Announces New Executive Appointments
CARSON, Calif.--Jan. 2, 20043, 2004--Nissan North America, Inc., has announced several executive appointments to maintain the momentum of the company. These appointments will become effective at various times over the next two months, providing an efficient transition into the individuals' new positions.Jerry Foley, regional vice president, Infiniti West, will assume the role of vice president, parts and service, NNA. Foley succeeds William "Bill" Bosley, who has been appointed managing director, Nissan Motors Great Britain (NMGB).
Bosley joined NNA in 1981 as district service manager. He has since held the positions of regional vice president, Infiniti West Region; consumer affairs manager; regional service manager; manager of consumer affairs research and planning; regional sales manager; regional marketing manager; manager and director of parts and service; and, regional vice president for the Nissan Division's Southeast Region.
In his new role, Foley will be responsible for parts and accessory sales for both the Nissan and Infiniti brands; developing parts and service operating policies; overseeing the parts distribution system; and directing the retail consumer affairs departments for both Nissan and Infiniti.
Foley joined NNA in 1983 as a regional parts merchandising manager, and has since held several assignments for the Nissan division, including regional dealer operations manager; regional customer services manager; and, regional sales manager.
Succeeding Foley as regional vice president, Infiniti West Region, will be Jack Wilkerson, currently director, sales, Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC). Wilkerson will oversee regional operations for Infiniti, including sales, marketing, fixed operations, administration and consumer affairs.
Wilkerson joined NNA in 1998 and has held several regional positions, including district parts manager; district sales manager; dealer operations manager; and, regional advertising manager. At NNA headquarters, he has held positions including national liaison manager; model line manager for SUVs; and, national marketing manager, Nissan Division. Prior to his current position, he was assistant regional manager at the Nissan Division's Southeast Region.
Mary Lauwereins, director, vehicle operations, NNA, will replace Wilkerson as director, sales, NMAC. In her new role, Lauwereins will oversee NMAC's field representatives who represent NMAC financial products and services to Nissan and Infiniti dealers nationwide.
Lauwereins joined NNA in 1990, and has served as assistant regional manager; regional marketing manager; regional customer service manager; manager of dealer support; manager of pre-owned vehicles; manager of marketing support; manager of customer satisfaction; and, manager of market representation.
Rob Manuel, currently director, US-Canada operations, synergy and Value-Up, replaces Lauwereins as director, vehicle operations, NNA. In his new role, Manuel will be responsible for vehicle allocation, distribution and logistics; sales and industry reporting; national fleet sales; inventory control; and, management of vehicle systems.
Manuel began his career at NNA in 1985. He has since held various positions, including regional marketing manager; manager of contests and incentives for Nissan and Infiniti Divisions; dealer operations manager; and, director of corporate planning and business strategy. He also spent several years in Japan at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in the global marketing department as manager for dealer network strategy.
Eric Anderson, assistant regional manager, Infiniti West Region, replaces Manuel as director, US-Canada operations, synergy and Value-Up. In his new role, Anderson will be overseeing a comprehensive, cross-functional effort to maximize the synergies between both U.S. and Canadian operations to support the NISSAN 180 plan and the company's goal of achieving sustained, profitable long-term growth.
Anderson joined NNA in 1987, and has held various positions in regional offices around the country, including manager, market representation; and, manager, designated market areas. Most recently, he held positions in NNA's national marketing group, including corporate manager, contests and incentives planning and development; and corporate manager, model line.
Succeeding Anderson as assistant regional manager, Infiniti West Region, is Kathy Gleason, currently senior manager, marketing operations.
Gleason has been employed by NNA since 1995, and has held positions such as regional remarketing manager, district operations manager, and regional marketing manager.
In North America, NNA's operations include automotive styling, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.
