Surface Technologies, Inc. Begins Retail Operations

IRVINE, Calif.--Jan. 2, 20043, 2004--Surface Technologies, Inc. (OTC:SFCI) announced today that its patented mobile wheel repair technology (US Patent 6,347,444) is now expanding into fixed base retail locations. The Company's strategic plan is to have retail locations throughout the United States starting with the Company's initial stores located in the East and West Coast states.

Surface Technology, Inc. has also signed a one year contract with Image Display Group/Elite Publications, a California advertising firm, to spearhead a campaign to market the Company's technology in this lucrative marketplace. Currently, Surface Technology has been experiencing its growth in the wholesale sector with auto dealerships, auto auctions, and rental car companies serviced by its licensees.
