S.N.O.P Selects MatrixOne for Single, Flexible PLM Environment
WESTFORD, Mass.--Jan. 2, 20042, 2004--Leading French Automotive Supplier to Drive Time-to-Market and Quality Initiatives with MatrixOne Solution |
MatrixOne, Inc. , a leading provider of collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the value chain(TM), today announced that S.N.O.P., the third-largest French automotive supplier, has selected MatrixOne's Matrix10(TM) PLM environment as its product collaboration platform corporate-wide. Spanning all functional areas, the MatrixOne PLM environment will provide real-time visibility into all project information and status from any S.N.O.P location, reducing time-to-market and optimizing product quality.
S.N.O.P needed a solution that could fully control the product development and production processes across all of its sites. In S.N.O.P.'s Technical Center, which drives the product development and production processes, job functions are tightly integrated. MatrixOne solutions will enable S.N.O.P to build a model of its best practices and then share that model with all Technical Center employees across all job functions. In this single PLM environment, each contributor receives the most up-to-date information, a clear description of the tasks required, and the impact of those tasks on the program as a whole. As a program advances through the model process, the MatrixOne PLM solution ensures that all documents, tasks and deliverables are updated appropriately. This enables S.N.O.P. to more effectively manage programs and deliver high quality products to its automotive manufacturer customers more quickly at a reduced cost.
"Because we did not want to create boundaries between the different job functions, it was of primary importance that the PLM solution could enable communication across all roles in a collaborative work environment," said Alexandre Weill, project leader for S.N.O.P. "We selected MatrixOne's PLM environment for its ability to integrate many complex, cross-functional activities and give us a single view across the production environment. This integration and cross-functional collaboration will enable us to reduce product delivery time and deliver the utmost in quality to our customers."
S.N.O.P. is deploying the MatrixOne PLM Platform(TM) and several business applications including MatrixOne Program Central(TM) and MatrixOne Engineering Central(TM). This flexible PLM environment will enable users to more effectively manage programs, documents, and quality initiatives. All programs will be managed through the MatrixOne PLM environment, giving each project team as well as appropriate parties at S.N.O.P. headquarters and production sites real-time insight into the status of the project. All parts are also managed in the environment, ensuring each person on a project team receives the right information at the right time. Each part, project and program is also linked dynamically with quality documentation.
"S.N.O.P. joins MatrixOne's roster of leading innovative automotive suppliers who are driving bottom-line business value through a collaborative product development approach in our solutions," said Mike Segal, senior vice president of customer success for MatrixOne. "With our solutions for program and engineering process management, S.N.O.P. is strongly positioned to increase its competitive advantage through timely delivery of its high quality vehicle structure units to some of the world's most influential automotive manufacturers."
