Nissan Announces Management Changes in Europe

PARIS, January 21 -- Nissan has announced management appointments and changes in its sales and marketing operations in Europe.

The following changes and appointments take effect from 1 March 2004:

    - Volker Brien, currently Nissan Brand Director, Renault Nissan 
      Netherlands is appointed VP, Strategy & Marketing, Nissan Europe. He
      will replace Philippe Geffroy, who is appointed VP, Sales and 
      Marketing, Nissan Mexico.

    - Brian Carolin, currently Managing Director of Nissan Motor GB is 
      appointed VP, Sales Operations, Nissan Europe. He will be replaced by
      Bill Bosley, currently VP, Parts and Service, Nissan North America.

    - Giuliano Musumeci Greco, currently Managing Director of Nissan Italy 
      is appointed VP, Benchmarking, Sales and Marketing, Nissan Europe. He 
      will be replaced by Henri Brisse, currently VP, Sales Operations of 
      Nissan Europe.

Mr Brien, Mr Carolin, Mr Bosley, Mr Musumeci Greco and Mr Brisse will all report to Mario Canavesi, SVP, Sales and Marketing, Nissan Europe.

Mr Canavesi said: "The year 2003 was a very successful year for Nissan in Europe, with sales rising by 14% against the previous year. This has been a great achievement, and I am confident that the newly strengthened management team can build on this success."
