Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. Files for California ARB Certificate for Three Way Catalyst
TELFORD, Penn.--Jan. 2, 20040, 2004--Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (ESW) (OTCBB:ESWW), is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive testing program to validate and verify performance of its Enviro-Cat(TM) gasoline catalytic converter product and subsequent filing to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for review and certification.Using its proprietary torturous-path metal substrate technology, ESW achieved the required emissions reduction requirements after the necessary equivalent 25,000 miles durability test. The Company and an independent testing laboratory have now filed the appropriate documentation to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for verification. The long-term durability of ESW's substrate design, as well as the catalyst emissions reduction performance were confirmed in the test results of two (2) independent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) & California Air Resources Board (CARB) recognized testing laboratories.
ESW's Enviro-Cat(TM) is a catalytic converter designed for use on automobiles and light duty trucks for the purpose of reducing engine exhaust emissions such as Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydro Carbons (HC). The receipt of the certification from CARB opens the door for potential sales into the replacement catalytic converter and retrofit market in California. In addition, CARB certification is a benchmark of validation recognized word-wide and has the potential to open the overseas gasoline catalyst market. According to a recent (i)MECA commissioned report, the current worldwide sales for the gasoline catalytic converter market are estimated to be in excess of $35 billion US on an annual basis.
John A. Donohoe, Jr., ESW's CEO, President and Chairman commented, "Our management team is extremely pleased and excited with the results of this program. We believe that the positive test results derived from this test program further validate the fundamental core technology of ESW's torturous- path metal substrate and catalyst. Ultimately, all of our test program results must be reviewed and approved by CARB but we are excited having achieved the required results through the independent validations and are hopeful and anticipate receiving formal verification within 30-45 days."
Mr. Donohoe further stated that, "This gasoline catalyst verification program is the first of several government verifications that ESW previously announced. In addition to successfully completing the gasoline product verification testing, the long-term durability testing phase of ESW's Particulate Reactor(TM), high performance Diesel Oxidation Catalytic (DOC) is well underway. Fleetguard Emission Solutions and ESW are currently pursuing CARB Level II and EPA verification collaboratively. Completion of the durability performance testing phase for these diesel verification projects is expected by the end of January of 2004."
