Darrell Waltrip and Duncan Hines(R) Invite Fans to Get 'Boogity, Boogity, Boogity(TM)' With Brownies

NASCAR Legend to Help Judge Brownie Recipe Contest

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 20 -- NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip is inviting NASCAR fans and baking enthusiasts everywhere to "rev up" their ovens, combine a Duncan Hines(R) Brownie Mix with creative ingredients and enter a favorite, original dessert recipe in the Duncan Hines "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity(TM)" Brownie Recipe Contest.

The racing-themed baking contest encourages NASCAR fans to get creative with brownies for a chance to have their dessert recipe featured on a Duncan Hines Brownie Mix package, win a trip to the 2004 Coca-Cola 600, meet Waltrip and win $1,000. Contest entries will be accepted starting January 15, 2004 and must be postmarked by April 9, 2004.

Waltrip, a three-time Winston Cup champion and current NASCAR on FOX announcer, serves as a celebrity judge of the contest. He created the popular racing phrase "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity(TM) - Let's Go," and he will be featured, along with the recipe contest details, on a special, limited edition package of Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownie Mix. The special package will hit store shelves in mid-January.

"I've seen some pretty creative desserts at the race track, and the Duncan Hines Boogity, Boogity, Boogity Brownie Recipe Contest lets fans have fun and get inventive with brownies," said Waltrip. "Knowing the enthusiasm, spirit and creativity of NASCAR fans, we are sure to get some great dessert recipes - Let's get baking!"

Four contest finalists will win an all-expense paid trip for two this May to the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, N.C. -- one of NASCAR's most prestigious races. While in Charlotte, each finalist will meet Waltrip and compete against each other in a bake-off tasting event.

"As one of America's leading brownie mixes, Duncan Hines is excited to partner with another winner, racing legend Darrell Waltrip, on a contest that provides sweet rewards to America's most passionate fans -- NASCAR fans," said Michael J. Hojnacki, co-president and co-chief operating officer of Aurora Foods Inc., the producer and marketer of Duncan Hines.

Official contest rules and information on how to enter the contest are available at a special Aurora Foods racing Web site, www.fasttrack2win.com . The Web site also provides fans with special brownie racing recipes and details on cool racing gear and how to enter to win a trip to the 2005 Daytona 500.
