Shane Lewis Joined By Baldwin, Rice, Robinson and Southard in PAP-PARTS
BMW-FABCAR

JUPITER, Fla., January 16, 2004 - Sports car ace Shane Lewis, of
Jupiter, Fla., will be joined by a quartet of other road racing
champions driving the Southard Motorsports' No. 7 PAP Parts BMW FABCAR
at January 31st Rolex 24 at Daytona. Lewis, lead driver of the Daytona
Prototype (DP) class entry in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car
Series, will share the white BMW-powered car with former Rolex Series
winner and Trans-Am champion Jack Baldwin, of Marietta, Ga., past
Ferrari Challenge B Champion George Robinson of Houston, top-five Rolex
24 finisher Vic Rice of San Rafael, Calif. and team owner and Historic
SportsCar winner Steve Southard of Powell, Ohio. Lewis and Rice have a
history of racing cars at Le Mans while Robison and Baldwin have a
successful past co-driving in Rolex Series prototype cars. The car will
receive support from PAP-Parts, 74 Ranch and Industrial Fibers
Corporation (IFCO). PAP-Parts (www.pap-parts.com) is a German auto parts
supply company. 74 Ranch (www.74ranch.com), based in South Texas, is one
of the world's leading sport hunting resorts. IFCO is a leader in
industrial recycling.

Shane Lewis, lead driver: "Being joined by such talented drivers speaks
well of Steve's (Southard) commitment to the success of the team. Jack
and George and I have been friends for years and I am excited about
being joined by them. Vic and I go way back and have gotten a lot of
podiums together all over the world. We still have our work cut out for
us because the car still needs development but we've definitely made
strides and, with the driver line-up we have, we should be able to bring
the PAP-Parts BMW home with a good finish."

Steve Southard, driver/ owner: "I am excited about the driver line-up
for the 24. We have experienced drivers that know what it takes to run
the distance. We still have some work to do on the chassis and with the
restrictor change that is being done now; we should have the speed on
the banking that we have lacked in testing. The car is very reliable and
if we stay out of trouble we should be right there at the end."

Jack Baldwin, driver: "I think the chassis and engine combination has
proven to be a solid performer. We know that it should last 24 hours.
For the first 18 hours, we just need to ignore everyone else and run our
race. I like that Robinson Racing and Southard Motorsports have made an
alliance here. We can all move the ball farther, faster. The test was
good for us and I think with the changes being made right now, we will
be good. Shane is doing a heck of a job, as we all knew he would. I'm
really glad to be a part of this."
