TORONTO, Jan. 16 -- R. L. Polk & Co. announces Kendra Rawls' appointment to vice president, R. L. Polk & Co. and general manager, R. L. Polk Canada, Inc. In this position, Rawls is responsible for managing Polk's activities in Canada including vehicle registration reporting, automotive intelligence and analysis and marketing solutions. Rawls replaces Bill Murray who becomes vice president, International Development at Polk's international headquarters in Southfield, Mich. Murray is now responsible for overseeing operations in Brazil, Canada and Mexico plus the development of product offerings in Polk's emerging markets.

Prior to her appointment, Rawls spent 13 years at Ford Motor Company. She gained experience as a sales and marketing executive in several divisions within the company including Ford Division and Lincoln Mercury Division. She made a direct impact on maximizing sales, market share and regional profitability in Ford and Lincoln Mercury Division's largest volume regions. Rawls also held several marketing positions where she worked on brand and advertising strategy.
Murray began his career with Polk in 1990 in commercial truck sales. From there he held management positions in Polk's commercial truck and aftermarket units until becoming managing director of China new business development in 1998. His experience in Polk's worldwide operations brought him to oversee Latin America development as well.
