GPS-Wireless 2004 Set for March

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 15, 2004 -- More than 200 mobile information professionals from the largest automobile manufacturers, wireless carriers, mobile electronics vendors, homeland defense and computer companies will meet March 4-5 for GPS-Wireless 2004 ( www.gps-wireless.com ) at the Marriott Hotel-San Francisco Airport.

The eighth annual conference, sponsored by Global Technology Communications, Inc. (GTCI), features more than 40 speakers. Last year's speakers came from Nextel Communications, Verizon Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Sprint PCS, Rand McNally, Motorola, Thales Navigation, PCS Microcell and many others.

Overall, the mobile information technology market is growing -- particularly for fleet and security applications. The largest automotive manufacturers, wireless carriers, global positioning system providers, software companies are finding more ways to get information into a vehicle or a mobile device such as a PDA -- whether that be traffic information, location-based e-commerce, navigation and emergency services. In addition, speakers from the homeland security market will be on panels to show you how to profit.

GPS-Wireless 2004 features more than 40 tabletop displays/sponsorships from many of the top vendors.

GPS-Wireless addresses and answers these critical questions:

-- When will carries introduce LBS? What's holding it up?
-- Will carriers release location data to resellers?
-- What's new with Portable Navigation Systems' markets? New players are
coming on strong. Will they take off or are the units still too
expensive? Can anybody put a dent in the current leader's market
      share?
-- What's going on with aftermarket telematics systems? Who is having
success? What are the prospects for others?
-- What about factory-installed telematics? Will it still be mostly
OnStar and TeleAid for the foreseeable future?
-- Fleet AVL: How will trends, new players, new communications links
      (GPRS, etc.) change the market?
-- Will trailer monitoring be a big market?
-- Location-based advertising: Will it happen?
-- How will Homeland Security play a role in mobile information markets?

Other conferences cost two-to-three times as much as GPS-Wireless 2004 -- and offer fewer speakers and no networking opportunities. GPS-Wireless 2004 offers a keynote luncheon, networking coffee breaks, a hosted reception and buffet luncheon with tabletops and a 300-page binder full of market information. In addition, GPS-Wireless 2004 offers discounts for two or more attendees from the same company and significant savings on lodging at the Marriott Hotel-San Francisco Airport.
