Safelite Group Announces Senior Leadership Promotions

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 14, 2004 -- Safelite Group, a leading provider of claims management and auto glass solutions, recently announced promotions of several key executives. The promotions, which include the newly created positions of Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Fulfillment and Chief Client Officer, follow the company's announcement of a new corporate structure and the appointment of Dan H. Wilson as President and Chief Executive Officer earlier this fall.

"The timing of these two events provided an excellent opportunity for us to better align our senior leadership team with the new Safelite Group family of companies," said Wilson. "We have been able to offer new opportunities to a number of our top performers, many of whom have been with Safelite for years and have, literally, come up through the ranks."

Thomas M. Feeney has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Client Officer. Feeney has been with Safelite since 1991 and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Client Sales and Support. In his expanded role, Feeney will oversee all aspects of the claims management business, operating under Safelite Solutions LLC, including client sales and support, national contact center operations, network operations and billing services.

Steven B. Micheli has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Fulfillment. Micheli joined Safelite in 1993 and most recently served as Vice President, Manufacturing and Distribution Operations. His new responsibilities include overseeing the manufacturing, distribution and retail auto glass service operations.

Douglas A. Herron, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has assumed responsibility for information technology, enterprise procurement and commercial sales, in addition to overseeing financial operations for the company. Herron has been with Safelite since 1992 and serves as a member of Safelite's Board of Directors.
