Delphi Wins New Mercedes Contract Worth $750 Million

Will support full vehicle E/ED systems development for C-Class

WUPPERTAL, Germany, Jan. 14 -- Delphi Corp. has earned significant electrical/electronic distribution (E/ED) system content on the next generation Mercedes C-Class scheduled for introduction in 2007.

  The lifetime value of the contract is approximately $750 million.

In line with Mercedes' desire to provide customers with the best vehicles in the world with the highest standards in design and technologies, Delphi's Packard Electric division will assist Mercedes in designing a customized E/ED system that incorporates flexible printed circuit technology and flexible flat cable. Delphi is also responsible for component management, in-line sequencing and just-in-time delivery.
