TI Automotive Wins $1.2 Billion in New Business

WARREN, Mich., Jan. 13, 2004 -- TI Automotive, the world's leading supplier of automotive fluid storage and delivery systems, recently won contracts in its fuel systems division valued at more than $1.2 billion from automotive manufacturers in Europe, Asia and North America.

Beginning with 2006-model-year production, the fourth-quarter contract awards include complete fuel systems and subsystems for a range of products, including luxury sedans and sport-utility vehicles. The contracts cover both diesel- and gasoline-powered vehicles which meet stringent LEVII and PZEV requirements. Combined, the contracts involve more than 800,000 units annually.

"Several of these new-business wins include products from our recently acquired TI Pierburg pump division, as well as leading-edge tank-system solutions," noted Brian Lindsay, managing director of sales and purchasing for the company's Global Fuel Systems Division.

Fuel-system components called for under the new contracts will be produced at various TI Automotive plants around the world.
