Washington D.C. Revs Up for the 2004 Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows Presented by Toyota Trucks, January 9-11; Featuring the Ball of Steel Stunt Show
SANTA ANA, Calif.--Jan. 7, 2004--This year, powersports fans, manufacturers and dealers are coming together to celebrate a common passion: motorcycles. The popular Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows(R) presented by Toyota Trucks (IMS) will be at the Washington Convention Center, in Washington D.C., January 9-11, 2004. Tickets for the event are $12 for adults, $5 for children 6-11 and free for children 5 and under. "And, new for this year, we'll have the Ball of Steel Stunt Show, which will be a great showpiece for the whole family."
The Ball of Steel Stunt Team, appearing at the show, is comprised of three brothers from Fort Worth, Texas -- Preston Landers (age 16), Brandon Landers (age 17) and Kyle Landers (age 18). The one-of-a-kind performance features three motorcycle riders hitting serious G-forces as they synchronize their motorcycles to perform insane stunts in a giant 16-ft steel globe. The show ends with one of the riders performing a back flip on his motorcycle.
Traveling to 13 major cities across the country, the IMS series is an unparalleled opportunity for bike buffs along with casual enthusiasts to experience the cutting-edge of powersports vehicles, products, and services. The 2004 line-up of OEMs include: Aprilia, BMW, Buell, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha. Representatives from local dealerships will be available to answer questions and help enthusiasts determine the perfect ride for their size and experience level.
The Powersports Group is also pleased to welcome back Ducati and Moto Guzzi this time for the full tour. As always, an onslaught of the hottest sport bikes, cruisers, scooters, dual-sport machines, off-road bikes, motocross and 4-wheel ATVs will be represented.
Show highlights will include stunt riders, special demonstrations and interactive features. Attractions will also include vintage displays highlighting vehicles of all makes and models, and the all-new Club House with special features, message boards, and contests targeting motorcycle club members.
Show attendees who want in-depth information about motorcycle parts and accessories can visit the expert staff in "The Factory," a showcase of the latest aftermarket products and essential riding gear where they can compare and discuss everything from performance parts to the latest communications hardware with manufacturer representatives.
