ARCA Pork Pole sponsor release

PORK SPONSORS ARCA POLE AWARDS IN 2004

 

TOLEDO OH (1-7-04)  ARCA officials and the National Pork Board have reached an agreement in which Pork will become the Official Pole Award sponsor of the ARCA RE/MAX and Lincoln Welders Truck Series for the 2004 season. 

 

"America's Pork Producers are very excited about our sponsorship of the ARCA Pork Pole Award for 2004," said Dallas Hockman, Vice President of Demand Enhancement. "Our involvement in the ARCA RE/MAX Series has been very beneficial in promoting pork to consumers. The Pork Pole Award is another great opportunity to increase the awareness of Pork to America's race fans."

 

The award will be recognized as the Pork Pole Award. Pork is already the Official Meat of ARCA, and has been since 2000. 

 

The award will be presented for the first time at Daytona Int'l Speedway on Thursday, February 5 soon after the RE/MAX Series takes to the 2.5-mile superspeedway for Pork Pole Award Qualifying at 1:30 PM local time in preparation for the 41st annual Advance Discount Auto Parts 200 on February 7.

 

This year's race, a preamble to the same-night NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Bud Shootout, will air live on SPEED Channel at 4 PM Eastern.
