Richard A. Nawrocki Elected to INTERMET Board of Directors

TROY, Mich., Jan. 5, 2004 -- INTERMET Corporation , one of the world's leading manufacturers of cast-metal automotive components, today announced the addition of Richard A. Nawrocki to its board of directors, effective December 22, 2003.

Nawrocki, 55, is president, CEO and board member of CMI-Management Services, Inc., a Southfield, MI-based holding company that manages a portfolio of diversified investments, corporations and subsidiaries, including metal-forming companies Tech Cast, Inc., and CMI-Schneible.

In addition to his current position with CMI-Management Services, Nawrocki is president and part owner of R.W. Ventures, LLC, a venture-capital firm with investments in four companies specializing in industrial manufacturing and medical-equipment leasing. Additionally, he is president of R.W. Real Estate, LLC, specializing in commercial property and Plan B Consultants, LLC, a financial consulting company. Prior to this, Nawrocki served as president, CEO, CFO, and director of CMI International, Inc., a casting and machining company that was acquired by Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc., in 1999.

Nawrocki is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Michigan Association of CPAs (MACPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). He is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University.
