                  ASA MEMBER TRACK PROGRAM ADDS
FRIENDSHIP MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO 2004 LINEUP

PENDLETON, Ind. (December 19, 2003) -- The growing American Speed Association
Member Track program has added Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, N.C., to its
2004 lineup. Friendship is the first track in the Tar Heel State to join ASA's weekly racing
program.

"It will be a benefit to Friendship Motor Speedway to have ASA as its support in 2004
and beyond," said Randy Myers, promoter of Friendship Motor Speedway. ASA has built
a lot of creditability the past 36 years, which will be a plus for everyone at our speedway.
I have worked with ASA Member Track program director Dennis Huth in the past and I'm
thrilled about the direction of the program."

Friendship Motor Speedway was constructed in 1982 as a dirt track. Checkered Flag
Promotions formed by Danny Baker, Thomas Needham and Randy Myers purchased
the track in January of 2003. They converted the track to a .40-paved oval with banking
in the turns ranging from 10 to 12 degrees.

When the new season opens in April, Friendship Motor Speedway will begin its ASA
Member Track program affiliation. Featured divisions include Modifieds, Late Model
Stocks, Mini Stocks, Strictly Stocks and Chargers.

Steve Dale of Atlanta, Ga., purchased the American Speed Association in February of
2003 and instantly made plans of expanding the Member Track Program. Dennis Huth,
who played an integral part of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series and the NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series, leads the future of the ASA Member Track program.

"ASA is delighted to have a track of Friendship Motor Speedway's caliber as part of the
ASA Member Track team," said ASA Member Track program director Dennis Huth. "The
quality of track management, cars, drivers, teams, fans and sponsors make this a
perfect marriage. The area surrounding Friendship has a rich history that shows just
how important the motorsports community really is. On behalf of all ASA Member
Tracks, we welcome our newest member."

The ASA Member Track program is designed for weekly short track venues to make
available many of the policies, principles, procedures and components that have made
the American Speed Association a premier short track sanctioning body for 36 years.

Participating tracks receive contributions to their year-end points fund, marketing
opportunities, and join a small, select group of elite tracks displaying the ASA Member
Track logo.
