Motion Industries Names Zahir Hameer Vice President Inventory Management

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Dec. 1, 20038, 2003--Motion Industries, North America's largest distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation replacement parts, is pleased to announce that Zahir Hameer has been promoted to vice president, Inventory Management, according to Bill Stevens, Motion Industries' president and CEO.

Hameer began his career with Berry Bearing Company in 1972 and became vice president, Information Systems and Operations in 1993. The Berry and Motion corporate groups consolidated in 1998, and Hameer moved to Birmingham, where he has served as assistant vice president since 1999. He will continue to be responsible for the departments of Inventory Control and Coding/Costing and will head up the Company's pricing initiative.
