Diamond Powersports' New Drag Bike Chain Breaks World Speed Record
SUNRISE, Fla., Dec. 16, 2003 -- Diamond Powersports (BULLETIN BOARD: DPWS) CEO Pierre Elliot is pleased to announce that the company's new Drag Bike Chain has broken a thirteen-year world speed record with stable speeds above 300 mph.
The world record was broken by Sam Wheeler on a Kawasaki ZX-11 using the Diamond Powersports DRZ-530 chain. In testing all the chains on the market today, the Diamond DRZ-530 chain proved to be the winner, breaking the world speed record at 334.048 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
"It just makes great business sense to have the best product on the market. It's one thing to say it, the world speed record proves it," commented Pierre Elliot, Diamond Powersports CEO.
The Drag Bike Chain was developed by Diamond Powersports in conjunction with the high-tech manufacturing capability of Kaycee Wada, president of EK Chain; as a result of their combined efforts, they have produced the strongest 530 drag race bike chain in the world.
This new chain, DRZ-530, has a tensile strength of 11,500 lbs, which makes it stronger than even some of the best 630 chains on the market today. Though it was just recently introduced, racing teams using Diamond Powersports DRZ- 530 chain are already winning and setting track records weekly.
