Four Concours Founding Members Resign

DETROIT, Dec. 15 -- The board of directors of Meadow Brook Concours of America, a nonprofit organization that manages the day-to-day operations of the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance, announced today the resignation of four of its founding members.

Terry Adderley, chairman/CEO of Kelly Services; Keith Crain, chairman of Crain Communications; David Fischer, chairman/CEO of Suburban Collection; and Bill Parfet, chairman/CEO of MPI Research, resigned from the board effective today, paving the way for the next generation of classic automobile enthusiasts to join the board.

"We are all delighted to have been able to create something that has had such positive response," said the resigning board members. "Now that it has been successfully launched as a new nonprofit organization, we feel that it is time for us to relinquish our positions to let others become more involved with the organization."

Concours of America was created to ensure that in the future, many worthy charities in Southeastern Michigan would benefit from the success of the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance. While, Meadow Brook Hall will continue to be the primary beneficiary of the event, opportunities for other charities are expected to be available.

The resigning board members have a strong affection for the creation of the Concours of America organization and will be available whenever needed. "We wish the organization and the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance continued success in the future," they said.
