Lear Corporation Announces Organizational Changes
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 11, 2003 -- Lear Corporation today announced the following organizational changes effective February 1, 2004, unless otherwise noted:
D. William Pumphrey has been named president of Lear's Asia Pacific Operations Group, effective immediately. Pumphrey will be located in the U.S. and will report to both Donald J. Stebbins, president and chief operating officer - Americas and Douglas G. DelGrosso, president and chief operating officer for Europe, Asia and Africa.
Joe Zimmer, currently president - Seating Systems Division, has been named president, Interior Products Division - Europe. Zimmer will relocate to Europe and report to DelGrosso. He replaces James M. Brackenbury who returns to the U.S. to succeed Pumphrey as president - DaimlerChrysler Division.
Steven L. Hayworth, currently vice president - Global Purchasing, has been named president - Seating Systems Division, succeeding Zimmer. Art Kennedy, currently vice president, Quality - Europe, becomes vice president - Continuous Improvement Group. Brackenbury, Hayworth and Kennedy will be located in the U.S. and report to Stebbins.
Joseph F. Sefcik, currently vice president - Continuous Improvement Group succeeds Hayworth as vice president - Global Purchasing. He will be located in the U.S. and report to Lear Vice Chairman James H. Vandenberghe.
