BRC Commercializes New Patented Gaseous Fuel Injector

CHERASCO, Italy, Dec. 11, 2003 -- IMPCO/BRC Technologies, Inc. The BRC company announced today that it will commence production of a new patented gaseous fuel injector beginning this month at the company's manufacturing facility in Cherasco, Italy. Mass production of this new patented and proprietary technology is the result of a significant investment that included a three-year research and development project and exhaustive field durability testing where the product has performed very successfully. The company projects sales of this new product at $1.5 million in 2004. The company is capable of reaching an annual production capacity of over 200,000 injectors per year as new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contracts are captured.

The launching of this injector marks a very important step forward for BRC in strengthening its position as the leading worldwide supplier of clean burning gaseous systems and components to the automotive market. The injector has been designed to operate in a broad range of OEM and Aftermarket vehicle applications from small and large automobiles through heavy trucks and buses. Successful pre-launch trails have resulted in the injector being specified and commercialized by automotive and bus OEMs. The injectors are also being evaluated by OEMs in the material handling, irrigation and other industrial markets for use in their off-highway engine applications.

The BRC IN03 injector has a unique patented bottom feed design that provides for a significant competitive advantage. The injector has been developed according to SAEJ1832 specifications and homologated according to ISO15500, E67-01 regulations for liquefied petroleum gas use and R110 regulations for compressed natural gas use.
