Noble Polymers Introduces New Brand Initiative
Resin supplier expanding into new markets, increasing R&D
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Dec. 8 -- Noble Polymers, LLC, a supplier of specialized plastic polymers and resins, today announced the launch of a new brand identity, designed to further solidify the Company as an innovative resource for plastic molders.
Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Noble Polymers, which began as a materials research and development group within Cascade Engineering, has evolved into a leading innovator in the development of resins, compounds and polymers used primarily by injection molders. Noble Polymers, which has been supplying resins to Cascade Engineering's Automotive Solutions Group since 1997, said the new brand identity is an important step in its effort to expand into new markets and to customers beyond Cascade Engineering.
"Over the past six years, Noble has built a strong presence in the automotive market by developing and delivering specialized polymers that meet our customers' unique requirements," said Tim Patterson, who heads up Noble Polymers. "With the new branding initiative, we intend to establish Noble as an organization that engineers innovative solutions for a variety of industries beyond automotive, including furniture, material handling and appliance. Additionally, we are increasing our efforts to develop materials that are greener and more cost effective than the traditional materials found in the plastics market today."
Noble Polymers began as an "experiment" by Cascade Engineering founder CEO Fred Keller, who identified resin development as an important strategic activity for the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based injection molder. In order to maintain a competitive market position as a middle-manufacturer supplier, Cascade identified a need to have a broader range of capabilities to differentiate its products. Resins developed by Noble Polymers have allowed Cascade Engineering to supply plastic products that meet customer requirements for material solutions. Noble Polymers' experts quickly developed into a resource for resin development and supply chain management, and began branching out to serve new customers. Today, Noble Polymers serves a variety of vehicle-related industries including automotive, and the medium- and heavy- duty truck markets.
Over the past three years, Noble Polymers has accelerated its pace of innovation. In 2001, the Company began developing high-performance resins based on nanotechnology and nanocomposite research. The Company's leadership in the field of nanocomposites has led to the development of specialized polymers and resins that are more environmentally friendly, lighter in weight, and more cost effective than traditional compounds.
The Noble Polymers re-branding initiative will include the launch of a new website www.noblepolymers.com , updated sales and marketing materials, as well as a restructured sales team. The Company also said it will continue to serve a variety of customers and industries, offering capabilities that most material providers cannot match.
