Nissan Europe Reports November Sales

TRAPPES, France, December 8 -- Nissan Europe reported total sales of 42,647 vehicles (1) in November 2003, an increase of 25% over the same month last year.

In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, Nissan Europe sold 493,116 units, 13% up from last year.

HIGHLIGHTS BY COUNTRY

- Nissan in France sold 3,718 units in November, registering a 30.5% increase compared to last year. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, Nissan sold 41,449 units in France, up by 29% compared to last year.

- In Germany, Nissan sold 4,700 units in November, representing a decrease of 23% compared to last year. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, Nissan sold 61,050 units in Germany, 5.5% up from last year.

- In Italy, Nissan sold 6,971 units in November, up 36% against last year. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, Nissan sales in Italy rose to 71,111 units, up by 30% compared to last year.

- Nissan in Spain sold 5,876 units in November, up 42% compared to last year. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, Nissan sales in Spain rose to 55,276 units up by 10.5% compared to last year.

- In the UK, Nissan sold 9,530 units, an increase of 44.5% compared to last year. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, Nissan's sales in the UK rose to 107,873 units, up 8% compared to last year.

MODEL HIGHLIGHTS

- The Micra was Nissan's best-selling European model with a total of 14,521 unit sales in November. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, total Micra sales reached 168,140 units, up by xx% compared to last year.

- X-TRAIL sales increased by 25% in November against the same month last year to 3,414 units. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, total

X-TRAIL sales reached 45,936 units, up by 43.5% compared to last year.

- Pickup sales increased by 12% in November against the same month last year to 3,554 units. In the eleven month period from January to November 2003, total Pickup sales reached 35,624 units, up by 29% compared to last year

Nissan employs around 12,000 people in its European design, research and development, manufacturing, logistics, and sales and marketing operations. Last year, the company produced a total of 382,638 vehicles in its Spanish and British plants and sold 474,000 vehicles in Europe. Nissan Europe's Head Office is based in Trappes (Paris), France.
