ID Fone Announces the Development of New Mobile-DVR, In-car DVR
BUCHEON CITY, South Korea--Dec. 4, 2003--Three hundred Mobile-DVRs are scheduled for delivery to US police departments to improve crime prevention and to preserve crucial evidence of criminal acts and arrests. ID Fone Co. Ltd. has developed the new technology, which can also function as a "black box" type device for vehicles in accidents.Technologies are adopted to fit to highly variable high-speed moving environments such as impact resistance and protection mechanism to secure reliability from severe vibration and impact, high quality video and proof against severe cold and intense heat.
ID Fone's Mobile DVR solves the common problem of damaged recorded files in existing HDD type In-Car DVR caused by impact or cut-off of the power in accidents. ID Fone removes the problem by adopting Flash memory as a recording media instead of using HDD.
The main features of the ID Fone's new product are as follows:

ID Fone expects the product to be applied in various fields such as disaster recovery and rescue by installing it on helicopters and fire engines. The DVR can be equipped with wireless LAN card optionally so that the video and voice data are transmitted to headquarters from the accident scene through a wireless communication network.
