Singh Joins Goodyear's Global Sourcing Organization

AKRON, Ohio, Dec. 2, 2003 -- To ensure cost-effective supply of new products worldwide, a Goodyear marketing executive has joined the company's new global sourcing organization.

Dipinder "DP" Singh, former director, global market intelligence and strategy, has been appointed director of global requirements planning. He reports to Chris W. Clark, senior vice president, global sourcing.

Singh, 44, will work with the sales and marketing teams in each of the company's business units to develop strategic initiatives to support global sourcing decisions. He has more than 17 years of experience in marketing strategy, brand management, advertising, market research and international marketing.

"DP brings a wealth of experience in marketing and consulting," Clark said. "I look forward to his contributions as we make the transition to a more market-driven organization and take advantage of our global manufacturing presence.

"He already has interacted with Goodyear's marketing organizations around the world, so he will understand many of their supply needs," Clark added.

Singh joined Goodyear in 2002. He has worked in a variety of management positions for Monitor Co., Duracell Inc., Ogilvy & Mather and Richardson- Vicks.

A native of Bombay, India, Singh has a bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in marketing from the University of Bombay. He also earned a doctorate degree in marketing from Columbia University.
