Boston Acoustics Brings Legendary Boston Sound to Future Chrysler 300 Series & Dodge Magnum

PEABODY, Mass.--Dec. 1, 2003--Boston Acoustics, Inc. today revealed the initial details of a recently announced business award with the Chrysler Group. The company, in partnership with Visteon Corporation , will provide premium audio systems for upcoming Chrysler 300 series and Dodge Magnum vehicles. These will be the first to have custom designed, engineered and equalized Boston Acoustics(R) sound systems as standard equipment or offered as factory-installed upgrade options. The premier audio manufacturer expects to unveil its audio system on another vehicle from Chrysler Group later in 2004.

The systems combine Boston Acoustics' high-quality, high-performance speakers and acoustical expertise with Visteon's electronics and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology. Together they deliver clear, clean sound and the smooth octave-to-octave tonal balance known as the legendary "Boston Sound(TM)."

The Chrysler 300 series automobiles will feature two Boston Acoustics sound systems. Luxury sedan models will come standard with an 8-speaker configuration containing a center channel and 8-inch subwoofer powered by a 320-watt (just need to verify) DSP amplifier. Other Chrysler 300 series and Dodge Magnum vehicles will be equipped with 6-speaker configurations powered by 240-watt DSP amplifiers. All systems will be engineered to deliver the "Boston Sound."
