Chrysler Group Announces New Appointments in Sales, Marketing and Service Organization - Congrats: Jeff; Julie; Christine; Mike; Mark

* Jeff Bell to lead Chrysler and Jeep(R) brands * Julie Roehm to oversee marketing communications for Chrysler Group brands * Christine MacKenzie to lead newly created research and reporting department * Mike Manley to lead dealer operations * Mark Norman to head DC Canada

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 26 -- The Chrysler Group today announced new appointments and realignments within its Global Sales, Marketing and Service organization to create greater efficiencies and accountability, and to streamline management resources.

"With nine new product launches in 2004, and a total of 25 product introductions within the next three years, it is imperative that we use our resources in the most efficient manner to help drive sales and profitability," said Joe Eberhardt, Chrysler Group Executive Vice President-Global Sales, Marketing and Service. "These new appointments will enable us to leverage our resources and capabilities to meet the challenges ahead."

Jeff Bell has been appointed Vice President-Chrysler/Jeep(R) Marketing. In this position, Bell will be responsible for all marketing and product planning for both the Chrysler and Jeep brands. He will assume responsibility for the Chrysler brand previously headed by Tom Marinelli, who has announced his intention to retire for personal reasons at the end of this year. Previously, Bell was Vice President-Jeep Marketing. He joined the Chrysler Group in 2001.

"By creating a single source of responsibility for Chrysler and Jeep, we are encouraging a seamless interface between the brands, while maintaining individual brand identities, with separate and distinct product planning organizations," said George Murphy, Senior Vice President-Global Marketing.

Julie Roehm has been named Director-Marketing Communications. She will oversee all marketing communications for the Company's three brands. Roehm joined the Chrysler Group in 2001 as Director-Dodge Brand Communications.

Christine MacKenzie has been named to the newly-created position of Vice President-Corporate Research and Reporting. The position centralizes various functions, including the economist, sales reporting, and analysis of the customer dealership experience. Previously, MacKenzie was Vice President- Dealer Operations.

The above listed positions report to George Murphy.

Additionally, Mike Manley has been appointed Vice President-Dealer Operations, succeeding MacKenzie. Before joining Chrysler Group, Manley was Director-Network Development, DaimlerChrysler United Kingdom. He will report to Gary Dilts, Senior Vice President-U.S. Sales.

Mark Norman, has been named Chairman & President of DaimlerChrysler Canada, reporting to Joe Eberhardt. Previously, Norman was Vice President- Sales and Marketing Operations. He joined the Chrysler Group in 2001. Norman succeeds Ed Brust, who has announced his intention to retire effective December 31, 2003, after 36 years in the automotive industry.

The new appointments are effective January 1, 2004.
