BOBBY ALLISON TO BE GUEST OF HONOR AT ARCA RE/MAX SERIES AWARDS BANQUET
TOLEDO OH (11-26-03) NASCAR legend and former ARCA RE/MAX Series winner Bobby Allison will be the Guest of Honor at the 2003 RE/MAX Series national championship awards banquet at the luxurious Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, KY on Saturday night, December 13. The event is open to the public.
Allison, linked to the series not only through his win at Salem Speedway in 1975, but through his sons' Davey and Clifford, both of whom utilized the RE/MAX Series as a training ground for NASCAR.
This year's event, the 51st consecutive version, will honor the top-20 drivers and owners including five-time series champion Frank Kimmel along with champion car owner Larry Clement as well as runner-up driver Jason Jarrett.
Renowned television broadcaster Rick Benjamin will be Master of Ceremonies before an expected record number of attendees.
In addition to the on-stage evening ceremonies, which include big-screen video productions throughout the program, a complete dinner will be served. Also, the annual ARCA RE/MAX Series press conference open to the public will precede the banquet at 2:30 pm eastern at the same location.
The banquet welcome reception begins at 5:15 pm with doors to the Grand Ballroom opening at 6. The event is also scheduled to be aired on SPEED Channel on December 29 at 9 pm eastern, December 30 at 3 am & 9 am and again on January 4 at noon.
