ARI's EMPARTviewer and TradeRoute Available on CD-ROM or Web; Availability on Web Broadens User Base
MILWAUKEE--Nov. 2, 20035, 2003--ARI (OTCBB:ARIS), a leading provider of catalog-enabled business solutions that connect manufacturers with their service and distribution networks, announced today that its EMPARTviewer(TM) electronic parts lookup software and TradeRoute(R) dealer communications software are now available in both a CD-ROM and Internet-enabled version. In addition, ARI will work with Jayco Inc. and Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. to market both versions to dealers.EMPARTviewer and TradeRoute were first released to the RV industry in 1998 and are currently used by over 500 dealers who represent Damon Corp of Elkhart, IN, Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. of Riverside, CA and Jayco Inc of Middlebury, IN. The official launch of the web-enabled versions will be at this year's RVIA's annual tradeshow in Louisville, KY, December 2-4, 2003.
EMPARTviewer enables dealers to view electronic parts catalog parts, prices, illustrations, service bulletins and transfer parts to TradeRoute for inclusion in transactions such as purchase orders and warranty claims.
TradeRoute enables dealers to check parts availability, place parts orders, submit product registrations, submit warranty claims, and verify order or warranty claim status directly with the manufacturer, all without re-keying the information.
"Jayco dealers have been using EMPARTviewer and TradeRoute for over three years to send us parts orders, warranty claims and product registrations," said Paul Geczy, vice president administration for Jayco, Inc. "We are excited about the opportunity that a web-based version will afford our smaller dealers. They can now take advantage of the same up-to-date information and time-saving tools that the CD-ROM version has provided to our larger dealers," added Geczy. According to Geczy nearly 50% of warranty claims and more than 50% of parts sales are being sent to Jayco electronically.
"The Fleetwood Dealer Network (FDN) which incorporates TradeRoute and EMPARTviewer is the exclusive delivery system for Service and Parts information," said John Crowe, director of service and parts for Fleetwood Enterprises. "The web-enabled version will allow us to reach those dealers who to date have not implemented the CD-ROM version of FDN," added Crowe.
"Over the last few years, there has been growing interest among dealers and manufacturers for a web-based EMPARTviewer and TradeRoute. With the introduction of our web-enabled versions, ARI can now provide a solution that benefits both the manufacturer and dealers regardless of a dealer's size or business volume," said Brian E. Dearing, chairman and chief executive officer of ARI. "For dealers whose business requires continuous access to catalog and online ordering as well as a business management system, the CD-ROM based version of EMPARTviewer and TradeRoute best meets their needs. For dealers who do not use a business system interface or who prefer not to invest in computer technology and the associated support costs, our web-based solution provides a powerful alternative," added Dearing.
